News December 2015

Welcome to our refreshed and updated website which is now suitable for use on mobile devices and tablets with thanks to Robert Barker and Bradley Moon at Heathfield Web Design.

2015 has seen a significant improvement in work load across most sectors and this looks set to continue in 2016.

As the economy improves, albeit slowly, there is greater confidence in the market place, for those in both the commercial and residential sectors to consider property sale/purchase extension, alteration and expansion.

The continued low interest rate environment exists in this, although lending authorities are ‘stress testing’ financial applications for future robustness against a likely interest rate rise.

Some unevenness and slowing down of large global markets, particularly China, may reduce the rate of UK economic growth which in turn affect future UK market decisions.

More locally, within Heathfield, the recent allocation of up to 800 houses across Heathfield, Cross-in-Hand and Broad Oak is positive news for some and negative for others.  Within the Town there remain few empty shops with the recent opening of ‘Little Waitrose’ improves the range of shopping within the town.  If the full allocation of houses is provided, improvements in infrastructure and service facilities will be needed.

We have been able to work closely with a number of business is within the town throughout the year and thank them for their referrals, advice and support.

Appleby Petfield are proud to be associated and work with the Heathfield Agricultural Society in the staging of the annual Heathfield Show providing advice, drawing services and sponsorship.

We are looking towards improvement in service levels to our clients in 2016 and moving forward to expansion and growth.
